Elevator Photocells

Photocells in elevators are very common in recent years and it is known that they are used in most elevator systems. During the closing process of the elevator landing door, the person/object on the door is detected and the door is opened again. It is one of the products that plays an important role in the safety of passengers during the opening. Photocells control passengers entering and exiting the cabin. Even if the passenger chooses a floor in the cabin, the closing of the landing and cabin doors will depend on the 1 or 0 status of the photocell. The control circuit will keep the photocells energized until the door is closed. If any object, load or person passes in front of the dam from the moment the door starts to close, a 1 signal condition occurs, the control system stops the landing door wings from closing and reflects the open command. Photocells are used in elevators with or without reflectors. Photocells are placed at regular intervals from top to bottom at the cabin entrance without reflectors. However, most new elevators now use photocells to control not only the door entry, but also the front of the door.

In reflective photocells used in elevators, the photocell is usually placed on the knee of a medium sized person. This will ensure passenger safety. By mounting the elevator height photocell on the cabin or cabin door with the RX and TXs at the same level, it allows users to quickly notice and eliminate waiting problems.
